Obituary of Margaret Faith Irene Owens

It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Margaret (Snow) Owens. Margaret was born in Saint John, NB on June 30, 1941 to the late Leonard and Grace (Sweet) Snow. She later married the love of her life, the late Joseph Owens, and they began raising their family.

Maggie worked in housekeeping at the University. She always had a smile on her face. She loved going to jamborees, listening to country and western music, and always loved dancing. Her passions were shopping, having her vanilla ice creams, milkshakes, and her sweets.

The family would like to personally thank Cathy and Gary Armstrong, who on many occasions would come and brighten her days with guitars and music.

Margaret and her late husband Joe were best known for helping many people in need, especially their fellow South Enders.

She is survived by her children: Sherry (Wayne) McMillan, Kevin (Shelly) Owens, Kelly (Kirby) Moore, Stacy Gordon, and Tommy (Ashley) Owens, and predeceased by her sons John and Jimmy Owens. She has many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her, especially by her best friend, Sue Marsh.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at Barrack Green Armouries. The Three Musketeers will be interred in the Spring in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to The Joshua Group would be appreciated by the family.
