Obituary of Laurette Mary Gogan
With broken hearts, we announce the death of our beautiful mother, Laurette (née Paré) Gogan, loving wife of the late Albert P. Gogan, which occurred on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in the care of Bobby’s Hospice. Born on May 7, 1929, in Jackman, Maine, to the late Joseph and Florence (née Clich) Paré. Laurette was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Laurette treasured time spent with her loved ones and dedicated her life to caring for their needs. A proud westsider, she was never more at peace than in the comfort of the home built together with Albert. Laurette loved to travel. She and Albert shared many adventures traveling across Canada and the United States. Laurette belonged to a Monday Night Card Club and attended other Auction 45 card parties. She was a member of the Chicks Night Out Widows Group. She was a long-time volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Her commitment to her community and most importantly to her family was second to none. She will be greatly missed.
Laurette will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Holly Reid (Robert), Susan Arsenault (Paul), Denise Leger (Mitchell) and Gail Kingston (Larry); grandchildren, Shanna Higgins (Brad), Erin Gay (Damian), Julie Morrell (Lee), Justin, Lauren and Spencer Arsenault, Paige Dakin (Greg) and Marisa Kingston (Curtis); great-grandchildren, Alexis, Reese, Harlow, Griffin, Annie, Peyton, Beckham, Parker, Avri, Zoey and Levi; as well as several special godchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her cherished husband of 63 years, Albert, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Valerie Roy and Lynette Splane; brothers, Vincent, Florian, Lucien and Paul and great-grandson, Bennett.
