Obituary of Ruth Margaret Toole

Ruth Margaret (Wyman) Toole has knit her last stitch. Her family is sad to announce her passing, which occurred Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 4, 1942, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm Keith and Velma Beatrice (Barton) Wyman, and the beloved wife of William Toole, who predeceased her in 2021.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children: Bill Toole (Pamela Rhodes) of Ottawa, ON, Marion Anderson of Oshawa, ON, and Gloria Toole of Saint John; grandchildren: Ruth Toole (Zach Hass), Peggy Anderson (Gregory Puttick), and Malcolm Anderson; great-grandchildren, Briella Toole and Will Toole; her furry companion, Max; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Toole; granddaughter, Samantha Toole; and brother, Roger Wyman.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to Saint John Regional Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
