Obituary of Eileen Mary Underhill

The family of Eileen M. Underhill is saddened to announce the passing of their beloved Mother on Feb. 16, 2023. Eileen was born on July 28, 1933, in Miramichi N.B., but lived in Saint John for most of her life. Eileen had an infectious smile, and everyone she met adored her. She was generous, compassionate, kind-hearted, and a dedicated Mother and Grammy. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Benedict Tucker and Alice Nash; her husband, Carl; her son, Jerry; her daughter, Sheila; her brothers, Gerald and Harold; and her sisters, Mary and Yvonne.

She is survived by her children: Joyce (Lomond) Burke, Richard (Sylvia), Marilyne (Dean), Paula, Patrick, Michael (Tammy), and Joseph. She is also survived by her many grandchildren: Steven, Carla, Phillip, Mark, Amanda, Adam, Kate, Megan, Morgan, Carter, Brodie, Billy Joe, Madison, Jennica, Kady, and Mitchell, as well as her great-grandchildren: Stella, Henry, Felix, Louis, Jack, Raelene, Tyler, Sébastien, Tylee, Oliver, and Brodie. The family would like to give a special thank you to Jackie Kelly for taking great care of our beautiful Mom.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on 360 Dufferin Row in Saint John, N.B. Donations in Eileen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
