Celebration of Life
Obituary of Marilyn Audrey Trott
On Feb 20, 2023; just one day shy of her 79th birthday, Mom went on to be with Dad again.
Born in Saint John on February 21, 1944, as the only child of the late Merrill Scott and Audrey Clayton.
Mom was raised in and around the beautiful Fernhill Cemetery, which continued to hold wonderful meaning in her life; a meaning that she passed to her daughters.
Survived by her five daughters: Crystal Scott, Laurel Trott, Alison (Jim Brown) Trott, Tracey Trott and Bonnie (Cory) Cox. Grandchildren: Terrin, Cassie, Deason, Sammy, Alyssa, Nick and Jonah. Bonus Grandchildren: Sondra, Jason, Samantha and Kristen. Great Grandchildren: Jamie & Taylin. Bonus Great-grandchildren: Jersey, Ivy and Violet. Chosen "Daughter" Tara Mills (Charlie). She was predeceased by her husband Donald M. Trott in 2021.
Mom wore many hats in her years on this earth with her proudest role being "Nanny.” There was nothing she would not do for her grandchildren.
Mom made a career in the Taxi business, both as a driver and dispatcher.
Bowling was a life choice for Mom, and she later roped Dad into joining her. The two of them could also be found roaming the city for yard sales.
Our mother was the "straight man" to our father's quick (& often inappropriate) humour. She did her best to reel him back in!
We offer our gratitude to the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home for the excellent care and love they showed to Mom.
