MacFarlane, Mary Rebecca
Mary Rebecca “Betty” MacFarlane, of Saint John, passed away at home on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023. Born in Saint Andrew’s on December 23rd, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Nina Gamble (nee Field). Beloved wife of the late George Arlington MacFarlane.
She is survived by her niece Nancy and Bill Porter, her nephew Bob and Carolyn Gamble, as well as by her great nephews Nicholas and Julie Gamble, and their daughter Teagan; Jamie and Anne Gamble, and their daughter Sophie; and Gregory Gamble and his son Avery.
Besides her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother Herbert Edward Gamble.
A Private Committal Service will be held in early Spring at Greenwood Cemetery, Saint John. Arrangements entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424).
