Sending sincere condolences to all the family. My grandmother Alice Rideout Murchison and Frances' grandmother Effie Rideout Wright were sisters. My husband Francis McCarthy had the pleasure of visiting Frances in September 2021.I can't begin to tell you what a pleasure it was. She was a perfect hostess, friendly and humorous. We kept in touch with phone calls and we really intended to visit again.

I’m so very sorry to read of your dear Mum’s, Mother In-law, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, as well as all of Mrs. Costello’s friends. I can hear her yelling down at me from HEAVEN “call me Fran”. I’d only known her as Mrs. Costello as she was a long term acquaintance of my Mum’s. I was happy to get to know her and chat with her in the latter stage of her life…AND boy, what a SMILE she possessed!!
A lovely lovely lady indeed.
My sincerest sympathies to her entire family,
Mary Beth Cronin

Aunt Fran was a beam of bright light. She was intelligent, intuitive, humourous and well-informed. She also had a refreshing no-nonsense approach to life. We’ll miss her terribly, but it’s comforting to know she’s reunited with all the dear ones who departed before her. Thank you, Fran, for being such a great role model for us. Love, Eric and Audrey

Though we never had the pleasure of meeting Fran, through the course of our many years of friendship with Kurt and Christine we heard many wonderful anecdotes about Fran’s love for her family, her sharp wit, her skill at bridge, and course of her wonderful cooking. We hope these beautiful memories bring her family some small comfort.

My Aunt Frances......far too many memories to mention them all here so I will go with two. About 5 or 6 years ago, I went to visit her at her home on Mascot Ct. I took a couple old photograph albums, and we had such fun looking at all the old photos. That's the thing I will miss most, our phone conversations reminiscing about family members long gone from this earth. The other memory that stands out....green ink. You always knew immediately that your just delivered letter was from Aunt Frances because of the green ink pen she always used. My tribute: green ink will be used on all my written correspondence, in that way Aunt Frances will always be with me. RIP lovely lady, you will be missed, your sister's daughter, Pamella.

Our sincere condolences to family and friends upon the passing of Frances. We were all blessed and thankful to have known Frances for over the past 70 plus years. Unlike so many others, Frances was fortunate and grateful to live a healthy long life for so many years to be able share and enjoy her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. We all have very fond memories we shared with this wonderful lady. Although she is now gone, Frances will never be forgotten……may you RIP, Fran.
