Obituary of Gary Richard Gough
Gary (middle child hehehe) passed away at home where he was most comfortable. Born in Saint John, NB but grew up in Toronto and Brechin, Ontario. Predeceased by both grandparents Joseph Edward Gough and Lois Rita Hampton (nee Lebreton) and Joseph Albini Basque and Melina Marie McGrath. Also predeceased by his father Gregory Gough. Survived by his mother Carmel Gough (nee Basque), brother Gregory (Kim Bell) Gough, sister Christine (Daniel Ireland) Gough, niece Faith Loughren-Gough and his best friend Bruce Sopha and goddaughter Bruce's second daughter Mackenzie Sopha. Many loved cousins, aunts (Lois), and uncles too many to name.
Gary was learning to be a stone mason, started late in life but he loved his job and the guys he worked with Hammish/Albert and others. Although his new career did end as he broke his back in 2021, he struggled to gain his mobility back with lots of pain and hard work, he was able to gain back some not all his abilities to walk again using a walker/leg brace. He was also able to learn how to drive again and got his license back an amazing accomplishment.
Gary loved to compete with his older brother Greg and would often have races or talk about previous races from years passed. He also loved to play poker, the lottery, or wager on his favorite sports teams just like his dad. He enjoyed playing golf and yes video games even at his age. Gary was very close to his family, he lived most of his life with his favorite sister Christine and was also very close to his mother Carmel (Mary) who misses him so much already.
Gary will be missed by so m, many, love always gman.
