Obituary of Kay Losier
It is with an appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Kay Losier, beloved wife of the late Arthur Losier, announce her passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 31, 1925 in Tracadie, she was a daughter of the late George and Marie-Jeanne (Basque) McGraw. Kay was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Kay devoted her life to caring for the needs of her precious family and always treasured the times spent with her loved ones. Kay always took comfort in her faith and was a long-time member of the CWL. She was a proud past president of the Martinon Community Centre and together with Arthur, was a member of Club arc-en-ciel. Kay enjoyed giving back to her community and spent numerous hours volunteering with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB and the Canadian Cancer Society. She will be greatly missed.
Kay will be lovingly remembered by her children, Doug Losier (Grace), Brenda Murphy and Linda Losier; daughter-in-law, Kim Losier; grandchildren, David (Karen), Daniel Jr. (Krista), Matthew (Achsah), Alisha (Greg), Sheena (John), Jonathan and Caitlyn (Brad); great-grandchildren, Dawson, Maranda, Parker, Brody, Carter, Jake, Chase, Ilonka, Adelyn, Alivia, Elle and Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Daniel Losier; son-in-law, Dick Murphy and her many siblings.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM with a private family visitation taking place at Brenan’s on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Spirit Parish (St. Matthew’s Worship Site), Grand Bay-Westfield on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 12:00 PM. A private interment will take place in St. Augustine’s Cemetery at a later date.
