Obituary of Davene Elaine Belyea-Nice
It is with great sadness that the family of Davene Elaine Belyea-Nice announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Belyea’s Cove, NB, on July 15, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Rupert and Edna (Beale) Webster.
Davene was a longtime member of Forest Hills Baptist Church, along with the Order of The Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi. She treasured her summer place in Belyea’s Cove.
She is survived by her sons, Brian Belyea (Bonnie), Larry Belyea (Debbie), Anthony Belyea (Karen); daughters, Brenda Belyea, Anne Folkins (Paul); sisters, Suzanne Webster (Ron), Loretta Hansen (Art), Norma Mullaly (Wayne); brother, Norman Webster (Marie); 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Belyea and second husband, Lincoln Nice; brothers, Raymond Webster, Frank Webster, Victor Webster; sister, Marlene Webster; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hill.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). With visitation on Monday, May 29, 2023, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in The Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in McDonald’s Point Cemetery (Wickham, NB). Donations in memory of Davene may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online Condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
