Obituary of Barbara Ann McCann
It's with much sadness that our Mother, Grandmother, and Great Mother passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 28th, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Mom was predeceased in death by her Mother Helen, Sisters Marie and Thelma her Husband Alfred, her Partner Ken and her Daughters Katherine and Rosemary.
She leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as three sons John, Brian, and Kevin. Mom is also survived by her three sisters Myrtle, Mable, and Florence.
Mom was never one to be the center of attention but rest assured her guidance was prevalent, heard, and considered by all. After the passing of my Father in 1984 she became the glue of the family and respected in that role.
She was devoted to her religion and spent countless hours lending her time to church activities. Mom spent 15 plus years at Center Care as a Housekeeper Supervisor and was well received by her Team there. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will take place at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8th, from 2- 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM, and on June 9th from 10 AM to 12 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in The Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, June 9th, at 1:00 PM. Donations in memory of Barb may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
