Obituary of Linda Carol Hodgson
It is with profound sadness that the family of Linda Hodgson announces her passing on Friday, June 23 at the age of 74 years.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of and lifelong companion, Blair; her daughter Sheri Hodgson (Wayne Rowse), her sister Connie Doucet and her brother John McDonald (Ann McDonald).
Linda was born in September of 1948 in Saint John New Brunswick. She worked for many years at NB Tel in New Brunswick before moving to Clavet, Saskatchewan in 1983 where she worked in administration at the U of S Veterinary College. Upon retirement, they returned to the Maritimes and settled in the Sussex area. Linda enjoyed volunteering for The Sharing Club and Chase The Ace Fundraisers in Sussex where she made many good friends.
The family would like to thank the Palliative team at Saint John Regional Hospital and the ER Teams at both Sussex and Saint John Regional Hospital.
Mom, you were well loved. Your hugs, laughter, sense of humour and your seafood chowder will be greatly missed by many.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). At Linda’s request, there will be no service. We will plan a celebration of life to be held in St. Martin’s New Brunswick in the Summer of 2024.
Donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Greater Fundy Ground Search and Rescue Association, 31 Shortcut Road, Berwick, E5P3C1, or, plan an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone or something.
