Obituary of Alex Richard
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexander Joseph Richard on July 10th at age 62.
Alex spent his last days at Bobby's Hospice surrounded by family, friends, and his children of whom he was so proud and loved dearly.
Alex is predeceased by his partner Barbara Doiron. He is survived by his four children Amanda (Craig), Sarah (Jon), Matthew (Jeff), Marc (Kyla), their mother Linda Nowlan; Parents Guy & Joan (Bartlett); Brothers Michael (Huan), Donald (Nancy), Guy (Jocelyn), Paul (Kim), Jean Pierre (Shin). Also survived by his eight grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alex had a long journey with cancer over the last ten years but with his determination, dignity, and strong will, he persevered and kept a wonderful sense of humor.
Alex spent his working career as a Red Seal Carpenter with Local 1386. He could build or fix anything and enjoyed sharing his love for carpentry with others.
Alex's family would like to thank the team of 5A South at Saint John Regional Hospital for their support over the years and the staff and volunteers of Bobby's Hospice for their kindness and compassion during his short time there.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenans Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
