It is with a heavy heart that when I heard of Mary Ann's passing that I cried. I remember her as a very young girl living in the North End and I have to say she was even sassy way back then. She was a joy to be around and you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth. Mary Ann was never one to sugar coat anything as she told it like it was and she would say it to you not behind your back ! She used to come around the house with my baby sister Lorna Flavin- O'Brien, Heather Galbraith-Ferrar and you would know she was there. Her smile would light up a room when she walked in. When we spoke she always had to talk about "her" boys. She was so proud of them. My heart goes out to all her family and her so many friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary Ann please give Mom,dad, and Jimmy big bear hugs for me. My deepest condolences to all who knew and loved her, especially to her boys that she loved so much. RIP my beautiful friend. You are finally out of pain and no more dialysis to run back and forth to all of the time. You are with you brother, father, and all your loved ones who passed away so I know there was a party waiting for you in heaven. I know Lorna will miss you until you meet again. Love you my beautiful friend and I will see you on the other side. Fly high with the angels and now you are one of them. Much love Katherine Flavin-McGraw

I am saddened by the news of MaryAnn, passing. We have had the privilege of transporting MaryAnn back-and-forth to dialysis. We’ve had large long conversations, I’m going to miss the smile, the sarcasm, sometimes, and the great advice you always gave. You were so easy to talk about anything at all. Our sincere condolence goes out to your family and friends. I will miss that beautiful, smiling face.

I have so many memories growing up with MaryAnn from grade 1 at Alexandra school , to her first hip surgery i think we were about 8 then, to the teenage years in the North End her move to Hampton when we were 15..marriage , kids and sadly losing family to say she was a huge part of my life is a understatement,. MaryAnn was loved by many and will leave a big void in our lives but I will never forget you were always there for me and I can hear ya laughing at me trying to type this...Cant wait to see who got appointed to inform the crowd that some ya didn't like ( inside joke, if ya know ya know).
Sherry, Sandra, Ryan and Ashley and families I know you will find solace that MaryAnn is at peace. She will never be to far from "her boys" My thoughts are with you all.

To the nieces, nephews and great nephews - we never had a conversation when she didn't bring up one of your names. She beamed with so much pride to have you all.

I would like to send my condolences to MaryAnn’s family. I also didn’t realize the Freeman had passed last year. Betty and Freeman felt like part of our family for many years. Betty was the caregiver for my aunt. Both were wonderful people. Betty often spoke of her children so we felt like we knew them. Please know that you are in our thoughts at this sad time.
