Obituary of Kathy Wills

It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Kathy. She passed away at home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She leaves behind many friends and family.

She was the only daughter of the late Ruby (Phillips) and Bill Wills of Lincoln, NB. Mom to Spencer Wills (Amanda) of Saint John and Foster Arseneault of Saint John. Sister to Rick Wills (Lynn) of Nerepis, NB. Aunt to Stephanie, Richard and Andrew. Great Aunt to Jacob and Kaiyan. Nana to Chayce and Laken. Nay-Nay to Kole. She loved these boys with her whole heart.

Kathy considered herself lucky because she had extended family – Audrey Dexter (Mike) and their family to whom she was always Aunt Kathy; as well as Daniel Arsenault and his crew (Monique always said she was her “real” Mom which she treasured). Her best friend of more than 50 years, Cathy O’Connor – a friendship she truly values. She loved all of these people.

Kathy was employed for 34 years with NBICA and in 2017 (at age 57) started a new adventure with MAP Strategic Workforce Services. She was welcomed as part of the team with open arms and Kathy was grateful for that. She worked there with a team she loved. She made lasting friendships there, especially with Helene Savoie-Louis who was not only her boss but her friend.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A Memorial Service will be held from The Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, July 31, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Everyone is encouraged to bring a picture and tell a story or talk about a fun time they shared with Kathy.
