Obituary of Judy Gorham

The death of Judy Gorham of Saint John occurred on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on September 18, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Marjorie (Cline) Gorham.  Judy was born and raised in Saint John and was a graduate of Saint John High School and UNBSJ.

Judy was employed at the Saint John Campus of NBCC, for more than 20 years, where she recently accepted a new position with Facilities and Ancillary Services and previously with Student Services.

She was a beloved friend and coworker to many at the college.  Judy was a dedicated worker and was always there to volunteer, especially for the Christmas, Halloween and summer BBQ staff parties.

Judy so enjoyed her trips to Europe and bus trips throughout Canada and the United States, along with vacations to Bangor and evenings at the Imperial with her friend Donna Makepeace.

She was a huge movie buff and was at the movies every week or enjoying her many DVD's.  Judy also enjoyed building Lego, singing, listening to music, a good puzzle and doing ceramics for all occasions.  In her earlier years, she sang with the Camerata Choir and the Canada Games Choir.  Along with her quick wit and dry sense of humour, she was known for spending her time at the Imperial where she enjoyed hours of entertainment.

Judy is survived by her friends, Mary Gatien, Krista Dixon, Donna Makepeace and her college family.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held.  A graveside service will take place in Fernhill Cemetery on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenans's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
