Obituary of Harold Edison Arbeau
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold “Hal” Edison Arbeau which occurred on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born January 19, 1947, In Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Edison and Arilla (Foster) Arbeau.
Hal leaves behind his loving wife, Vonda (Martin); daughter, Coleen Thompson (Tony Smith); sons, Wayne Arbeau (Roxanne Kilpatrick), Peter Arbeau; his precious grandchildren, Alex Arbeau, Chloe Nash, Vanessa Russell; great-grandson, Soren Russell; special Aunt, Flora Hayward; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Hal’s family would like to thank the entire staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital; Emergency Unit, 4BS, and The Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and goodness.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Hal’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Holy Spirit Parish – St. Rose Worship Site on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Hammond River Cemetery. Donations in memory of Hal may be made to the Paul Martin Memorial Scholarship Fund.
