Obituary of Robert Edward Roy Allison Ferris

It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert Ferris announces his passing which occurred on September 24, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 23, 1963, to Barbara and Robert “Bob” Ferris, he was a lifelong community member in the city of Saint John.

Robert will be immensely missed by the love of his life, Ethel; his children Natasha Dobson (Joe), Natalye Brown (James), Rob Ferris (Vanessa), and Ryan Ferris; his sisters Maxine and Pamela; his brother Daniel; his grandchildren Emmaleigh, Kayleigh, Rylee, Julee, Marissa, Eli, and Sawyer; along with many extended family members and friends. Robert was predeceased by his parents; his daughter Tara Jane; and his sister Roberta “Elaine”.

Robert was a larger-than-life character who was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family. He loved working and was proud of never missing days of work. He was always tinkering and rarely took a break. He loved his family immensely and especially adored his grandchildren who referred to him as "Pappy"; they were the light of his life.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3^rd, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, October 4^th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (177 Manchester Avenue, Saint John, NB). An interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
