Obituary of Darrell Roy Badeau
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our best friend, who was more like a brother, Darrell Badeau. Born January 8, 1971, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Roger and Louise (Ingalls) Badeau.
After losing the love of his life and soulmate, Patty Marie (Barkhouse) Badeau in 2018, Darrell was never the same. She was the brightest light in his life, and they have now been reunited.
Darrell had worked at TD Station as a supervisor. He was a very kind man with a huge heart who would stay up into the early hours to keep a friend company. He would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it, and was well-liked by anyone who knew him. If the world had more people like him, it would be a much better place for all.
Darrell is survived by his best friends, Bart Barton and Christine Ali; brothers, Wayne and Roger Jr.; sister, Debbie; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and many friends.
Besides his parents and his wife, Patty, Darrell was predeceased by his sister, Darlene; and his brother, Michael.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
