Obituary of Kent Andrew Jones
It is with an appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Kent Jones of Rothesay, beloved husband of Yvonne “Bonnie” (Logan) Jones, announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at his home. Born on February 25, 1938 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Johnson) Jones.
Prior to his retirement, Kent was the owner and operator of B & K Agencies. Kent spent numerous hours volunteering within his community, where he was a member of the United Commercial Travelers, a former President of the NB Food Brokers Association, a former Director of National Food Brokers and served as a past Director of Rocmaura Nursing Home. Kent was an active member of St. James the Less Church, where he was involved with Vestry and served as a Warden.
Together with his loved ones, Kent created many wonderful memories of times spent at the beloved family cottage in Musquash. He always took great comfort in surrounding himself in the beauty of nature and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, ATVing, snowmobiling and vegetable gardening. Kent also enjoyed woodworking and his creations will always be treasured by those lucky enough to have received one. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Kent will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kevin Jones (Sherry), Derek Jones (Karen) and Christopher Jones (Carol Thornton and her son, Colton); sisters, Nancy Lees and Carolyn Thompson; grandchildren, Karissa Jones (Matt), Kelsey Chase (MacKenzie), Colin Jones and Brendan Jones (Courtney); great-granddaughter, Sophie Chase; as well as many nieces and nephews.
