Obituary of Joan Rita Logan
It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Rita Logan (nee Rogers) announce her passing Wednesday January 4th, 2024, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital. Joan was born in Saint John NB April 9th, 1934, to the late Sarah and George Rogers.
Joan will be deeply missed by her 3 sons, Frederick Lee Logan, Glenn (DeeDee) Logan, Barry (Brenda) Logan and daughter, Joan (Joni) Tilly. Sister Ella Earle, 11 Grandchildren, Angela Logan, Crystal (Dominic) Davidson, Jennifer (Scott) Logan, Judd (Francine) Logan, Todd (Krystal) Logan, Jean-Luc (Meredith) Lanteigne, Kiara (Ben) Monahan, Colt Lanteigne, Ashley (Andrew) Logan, Victoria (Jordan) Dickens, and Lauren (Nicholas) Spagnolo; 17 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including special niece Sylvie Fitzgerald. Lifelong family friend Father Donald Breen, Friend Gloria Wilson and Kitty roommates Milo & Jersey.
Joan is predeceased by late husband Frederick Logan of 55 years, daughter Susan Lanteigne, son in law Kevin Tilly, Siblings: Joseph (Buster), Billy, Raymond, Patrick, Twin Brother John, Lawrence, Barbara, Edgar and David, Brother-in-law Don Earle and beloved dog Lacey.
She dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding her family, instilling in us the values of compassion, guidance and resilience. Her presence was a constant source of comfort, and her love knew no bounds. Her quick wit and infectious laugh was a favourite of all who knew her.
Joan's family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff on 5CS and 3BN (Palliative Care) for their extraordinary care. Especially Dr. Gaudet, Dr. O'Brien, NP Erika MacDonald and the NB Extra Mural Team.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A visitation will take place on January 7, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will take place on January 8, 2024 at St. Pius X Church / Holy Redeemer Parish at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery (1215 Sandcove Road).
