Obituary of Frances Catherine Driscoll
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Frances Driscoll on January 23, 2024, at the proud age of 100, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Gerald Driscoll. She was born in 1923 in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Helen and Harold Donovan.
Fran worked as an NB Tel operator for many years and became a member of the NB Tel Pioneers. During her younger years she had a keen interest in bowling and became a member of the CNR Bowling League. She was also a staunch, lifelong HABS fan.
She is survived by her children Gary (Judy), Tomalyn, Peter (Gloria) and Glenn (Patti) all from the Saint John area; grandchildren, Jesse (Neena), Travis, Kelsi (Will), Scott (Katie), Nic (Chelsea), Blair, Kate (Mariah), Jeff and Nicole; Great grandchildren, Cole, Jemma, Nora, Mason, River, Harper and Olive.
She was pre-deceased by brother Donnie and sister Martie.
Special thanks to Family Physician Dr. Corless for his care over the last number of years and to the Emergency and Palliative Care teams at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Thanks also to the caring and wonderful staff at Joesph’s Care Home.
Go HABS go!
