Milley: William Roy “Bill”
It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” Roy Milley announce his passing, which occurred peacefully on January 22nd, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mary Milley (nee Green), his sister Joan, and his brother Ches.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 67 years, Rhona (nee Graham); his children, Carol, Robert “Bob”, Linda, and chosen daughter Pam; his grandchildren, Joel, Janet, Matthew, Vanessa, Shanna, Matt, Allison, Chris, Scott, Amanda, Rob, Janelle, Brooklyn, and Alexis; his great grandchildren, Nick, Alexander, Lexi, Devyn, Janey, and Taylor; as well as by his nieces, nephews, and special friends Peter and Patty, and Sherry and Blaine.
Bill worked in warehousing for most of his life, including 33 years at Thornes. Following retirement, he enjoyed some travelling, spending time at home with his family, and enjoying activities with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We cannot thank the wonderful people at Bobby’s Hospice enough for all of their care, and everything they did to make a hard time so special for us. Bill loved the singing and jokes shared with each of you; just know how special you are to him. Also, thank you to the nurses in both Palliative Care and Emerge at the Saint John Regional Hospital, as well as Dr. Luke Edgar and Dr. Jock Corless.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, from 11am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1pm. A reception will immediately follow. Private interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed via the Funeral Home website.
