Obituary of Marjorie Helen Boyne
With heavy hearts, but with appreciation for a long life well-lived, the family of Marjorie Helen Boyne announces her passing on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 2, 1924, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Phyllis M. (Sullivan) Boyne.
Marjorie worked for CN CP Telecom for many years, retiring as a Manager and Operator. Following retirement, she spent her time with her various family members, providing care and companionship. She was a member of many church groups and was a member of the church choir for most of her life at St. Mary & St. Bartholomew’s Church.
Marjorie is survived by the families of her cousins: Judith Friars (Pearson), Frances Miller (Kevin), and Marilyn Benjamin (predeceased); and her cousin, Norman Cameron. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant sister and brother.
The family would like to thank Home Care By Design, the First Responders, the staff of Palliative Care, and Rev. Greg for their care, compassion, and friendship shown to Marjorie. Your kindness is appreciated and will not be forgotten.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 3 to 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11 am from St. Mary & St. Bartholomew’s Church, 646 Westmorland Road, Saint John.
