We were sorry to hear of Wanda`s passing. She was always kind and had a hearty laugh that will never be forgotten. Just as God promised there will be a banquet awaiting her. And it will be attended by all her love ones and friends that have gone before her.
( I am sure hats will be worn for her arrival).
She will receive her reward as a good and faithful servant.

Wanda was a wonderful woman, I will always remember her bright smile and her abundant laughter. I remember when we were in the CV Singing Group and we were singing wasn’t that a party and Wanda said “ I’m not singing that” Debbie said ok you can just sit and mouth the words and she said”I’m not doing that either because people will think I’m singing it” she always was an devout Christian. She was very loved by all who knew her, my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. This is Christmas 2023 of Santa on her knee instead of her on his.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to Wanda's family, especially her children and grandchildren, as well as the Crescent Valley community. I was deeply saddened by her passing and I know that many people, young and old, will miss her terribly.
Over the last few years Wanda and I were working on a special children's book project (her idea), and we had many lovely conversations. She was an extremely intelligent woman, with a huge heart for the children of her community. She often advocated for children to be celebrated and honoured, and she was deeply committed to making the world a better place. It was a privilege to know Wanda. May she rest in peace.
PS - found my fave Wanda photo - I will most often remember Wanda wearing a wonderful hat, reading a book to one of her grandchildren at a CVCTA event..

Wanda life and legacy of a remarkable soul who brought light and joy to all those fortunate enough to know her.
She was a beacon of kindness, a pillar of mighty strength, and a wellspring of love. Through her warm smile and gentle words, she touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.
Her impeccable sense of style and grace was a testament to her inner beauty and elegance. Whether she was dressed for church in her finest attire or sharing stories that captivated our hearts, she exuded a radiance that was truly inspiring.
In times of need, she was a steadfast presence, offering comfort, guidance, and unwavering support to those around her. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her compassion knew no limits. She was a source of solace and strength for many, a true guardian angel among us.
Her impact on the lives of others was profound, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will continue to inspire and uplift us all. Though her physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the love we carry in our hearts.
As we bid farewell to this beloved soul, we take comfort in the knowledge that she now rests in a place of eternal peace and serenity. We can envision her in heaven, surrounded by the angels, her voice lifted in song, bringing joy to all who hear.
May we honor her memory by carrying forward the lessons she imparted, by spreading kindness and love wherever we go, and by cherishing the legacy she leaves behind. Let us celebrate her life, her love, and her light, knowing that she will forever be a cherished presence in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear friend. Your spirit shines brightly in our lives, and your memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration for all eternity..

To the Roche family,
We extend our deepest sympathies upon learning of the passing of Ms. Wanda. Please accept our sincerest condolences during this challenging period. My encounter with Ms. Wanda was truly delightful during my brief stay in NB while attending nursing school. Upon sharing the experience with my mother, Gail Henderson, and describing Ms. Wanda's sweet nature, my mother expressed no surprise, as her warmth and kindness were evident to all who knew her. Despite not knowing her well, Ms. Wanda holds a special place in our hearts, her smile and laughter leaving a lasting impression. May she find eternal rest in the loving embrace of our Lord. May you find solace in the knowledge that she continues to live on in our memories, forever cherished and loved.

I am thinking and praying for all of you, for all of Wanda’s friends and her community she served selflessly.
The loss of Wanda will be profound.
Wanda was a huge part of my childhood. She was larger than life. She and Mrs Drummond were the matriarchs of the blvd where we all grew up. They were the ones who kept us in line by just giving us the eye when we perhaps stepped out of line out of the sight of our parents! But, it was Wanda’s booming laugh and bright smile that I remember most. I will always remember Wanda with the fondness that comes with childhood memories of hanging with a best friend dreaming the dreams one does.
Lots of love Jules

I am going to start the tribute off by saying my aunt Wanda was more than life to me . I enjoyed every second that I had the opportunity to be with her . The laughs that we had were so precious as I got the chance to learn so much from her and she cared so much for me that it lit up my soul. Also she gave me so much sound advice that shaped me in the right direction. When you were around her she brought out so much energy with things such like opening photo albums and telling you the story of the day it was taken . There will never be anyone that will come close to her. I thank God for Wanda as she was my aunt and my second mother . I miss her with my entire soul. The song that reminds me of her is “take me to the king “

Aunt Wanda My aunt had the best laugh. It was a joyous laugh, one that filled the room and made you want to laugh with her. It was a hearty and full laugh that let you know she was enjoying herself. When she would welcome you it was with a warm smile one that was full of love and compassion. She was very strong in her faith. She would often go to church, talk about the bible. Those are the things I remember most about her. As a kid she would play with me, show me her spoon collection and art supplies. We would laugh together as she told me stories about her past and explained to me how she got the spoons. She would put on her hats from her large collection and show them off proudly. Asking if she looked good and I would always say yes. The last conversation we had she was excited. We talked about how thankful she was to be alive and make it on this earth soo long. She told me to cherish what time we have left because you never know when it's your time. Then she said the next time I came down to New Brunswick we would hangout and get pizza (our bonding food). I'm heartbroken we will never get to have that chance. I will never again hear that laugh, or see that brilliant welcoming smile again and it hurts. I will miss her ALOT. To my cousins, aunts and uncles I am truly sorry for your loss there are no words to describe the devastation that has been caused by this unfortunate event. My hope is that we carry on those good things she left behind and embody them in our own ways as individuals to keep her memory alive. Love Niece Sheniqua Roche-Staines

Our sincere condolences, there are no words to say what is in our hearts. We will miss Wanda , and we thank God our journeys crossed for the last 15 years, especially the last four. The joy we shared in worship, bible study and fellowship we will treasure. Her love of God was inspiring as well love of family. One hug and you felt like you belonged. I know she loved pictures and I was to make a copy of this one. Family joining her in church was one of her great thrills. . Wanda had an infectious smile that just warmed the heart. Here are a few photos from church I’d love you to see. One is a baby shower to welcome baby Caleb, now he has some lovely books his parents can read to him from Wanda. Wanda is surely rejoicing and singing her praises to our Lord God, home and free, forever in our hearts.

To my Aunt Wanda an Iconic Angel , Mother , Best friend, and Shepherd of the Roche family. Her favorite psalm "The Lord is my Shepherd. was an abiding testimony for how she lived. Rest well you will always be missed and remembered. Love Josie ,Jayshawn and Sheniqua Roche.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever . My joy is in knowing she is spending eternity with the Lord and other Roche family members.

i shared many days of art work shops with wanda, along with evenings at our choir rehearsals at crescent valley. she was know as the hat lady amongst her artists friends. one day she brought her hats into our art salon at the crescent valley office. the artists drew and painted her hats. we had a great time because she was so generous with her time for us to do that. we laughed a lot with her and i for one was hoping to get back to art class with her. covid 19 stopped us for awhile but we had hope of getting together again. i shall miss seeing her and talking with her as we had grand children the same age. she will bring happiness to heaven. god bless her family. jan johnston

Our condolences to Wanda's family during this time. Wanda was a special person who has been a big part of our family over the years. Not only was she a great friend with mom, she was a sister! Wanda infectious smile and laugh will be remembered. She had the gift of 'gab' and always loved to talk about her children and grandchildren.
We will always cherish the memories of times we spent with Wanda❤️
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
