Obituary of Harold John Nason
May 20th, 1955 - March 4th, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Harold J. Nason at the age of 68.
Born in Toronto, ON, he lived most of his life in Saint John, NB. He had a deep passion for sports. Harold worked at Harbour Station, also known as TD Station, since 1994. He served as a statistician for many years with the Saint John Flames and worked in the penalty box with the Saint John Sea Dogs. Additionally, he dedicated over 40 years to umpiring. Harold will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife and soul mate of over 30 years, Tracey Nason, and their son, Cody Nason, who will deeply miss him. Harold is predeceased by his brothers Barry and Alexander Nason. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Mary Nason; Bradley Robichaud (Lisa); Dale Ann Burke (Jamie); Stacy, Christopher, and Melissa Taylor predeceased Scott Taylor; Davie and Dean Speight; Josh Speight (Sonja); and Ashton Speight and Rachelle Speight. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Holly Taylor, Brenda Roy (Leo), Arlene McQuinn (Paul), Marlene Speight (Dan), and his brothers-in-law: Wayne Speight (Nelda) and the late Harold Bradley (Grace).
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Colleen and Bud Nason.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). In lieu of a funeral service, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
