Obituary of Ron Vere
The death of Joseph Ronald “Ron” Vere of Saint John occurred peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Ontario on January 18, 1949, he was the son of the late Kathleen Morrison.
Ron was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces and was stationed at various military bases throughout his career. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the Corps of Commissionaires. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ron was a boxer in the army, he enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years and was a huge sports fan. His intelligence was second to none and he was famous for his trivia knowledge. Ron was an avid reader and enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
