To Sandra’s family my deepest condolences . I’ve known Sandra since I was a very little girl at St Luke’s Church. Being one of the lady’s who ran the “ girls club” there many years ago , she taught me how to sew, and knit and make homemade gifts . She always had a smile on her face and encouraging words when I needed them . She always had a hug for me and made sure I got home safely . I will always cherish the memories of the sleepovers we had with that group and how much fun she was. I can still hear her laugh. Over the years as I’ve grown up I’d run into her different places. She’s always have a hug and stop and chat with me . I was heartbroken to see that she has passed. Heaven certainly gained an Angel with Sandra. She was such a beautiful soul , someone who had a positive loving impact on my childhood that I will never forget. Again my deepest condolences to her family during this difficult time. R.I.P. Sandra you will be missed.

To all of Sandra's family my sincere condolences, Bobbie was a classmate of mine so we saw Sandra often when she shared her "advice " with Bobbie and the rest of us, being much further ahead of us in the training.
She was funny and always helpful and I know she adored her nieces and nephews. Thinking of you. Muriel

Sandra, was one of the first nurses I met when I graduated in 1973 and started working on the surgical Unit at the West Side Community Hospital. I can still see her wheeling patients up from the Recovery Room, giving post op orders as the stretcher rolled quickly down the hall. “did you get all that, or do I have to repeat it?” were her famous words. Sandra was a very knowledgeable nurse, and as a new graduate, Sandra took the time to explain Recovery Room Nursing when I floated to the Recovery Room,to work with her occasionally. She, however, would expect you to remember everything for the next time you worked with her, thus challenging me to be a better nurse. Years later, after we moved on, I met her out shopping, and to my surprise remembered me, both married and single names, and asked how my family was doing. I was amazed at her memory, as she asked about all the “ new nurses” that came to work the same time as me.
My condolences to the family, on the death of your beloved Sandra

Sending my sincere condolences to Sandra’s family and friends. I met Sandra at the Nursing Home where she lovingly volunteered. Her tea parties with the residents were amazing as she provided her famous cream cheese and cherry sandwiches and her ohh so yummy asparagus dainty sandwiches. (She always set aside a little plate for me ♥️)
Heaven has gained a whitty and fun-loving angel.

Sorry to learn of Sandra's passing. She was a terrific neighbour to mom on Candlewood Lane, and I enjoyed seeing her at the Chateau in recent years - I'd always look for her in the card room. Sandra always had a smile and a wave and such a great outlook on life. Thinking of all of you.

Christie, I saw Sandra on April 5th for our usual visit. I had only one patient that day due to weather. She wasn't feeling " up to snuff" and I had a free day so I helped her with her laundry and chatted as usual, only longer. Had I known that I would not see her again, I would have stayed longer. Nurses helping nurses ; those that have gone before and paved the way. I enjoyed her banter and her quick wit and all that was described in her lovely obituary. She always mentioned your name. I feel I know you...I don't....but I got to know her and am very sad to read about her today.
My condolences to her family and friends. Lynn Lawson

Aunt Sandra was a very special lady. We met her 10 yrs ago when we moved to Saint John; our bestie is her niece. We learned about molasses on a biscuit at one of her legendary family roast beef dinners. She was sharp, informed, quick witted and took NO prisoners! We were honoured to be able to take her out, with Christie, for her recent 86th birthday and she was top of her game - always a fun time! Sandra, thank you for welcoming us into your family, we will miss you immensely. Our deepest condolences to all the family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Sandra was a bright light in this world and always made you smile. She was a tremendous worker at St. Luke's Church, especially with the ACW and Outreach Program (she could sweet talk the butcher at Superstore into giving her a good deal for the Loaves and Fishes meals). She will be greatly missed.
