Frederick Ralph Chiswell
October 17, 1955 – May 6, 2024

It is with profound sadness that the family of Frederick Ralph Chiswell announces his peaceful passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 6, 2024. Frederick was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, son of Richard and Norma (Williamson) Chiswell, on October 17, 1955.

Frederick was an avid motorcyclist in his younger years, travelling across Canada and briefly living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was a voracious reader and volunteered as a Big Brother.

Frederick started his career in the retail business working for several establishments such as Clark Chevrolet in Sussex and managing Thorne’s in the 1980’s. He worked in the trucking industry for many years, short-haul and long-haul, for
companies in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The latter part of his career, he worked for Halifax Transfer and Armour Transport for several years doing Home Depot deliveries. After his retirement in 2020, Frederick performed some driver
training for Armour Transport.

Frederick is survived by his parents, daughter Jennifer Hall (Randy), brother Paul (Janet), nephew Jared, and sister-in-law Mya Alissandra (Peter). He was predeceased by his youngest brother Peter and nephew Joel.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the amazing staff of the Cardiac Unit this past year, and more recently, the Oncology Unit, the Emergency Unit and the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care of Frederick.
