My thoughts & prayers are with Sandra, Alex and the rest of George's family & friends. The sadness in my heart since you've been gone, there's no denying we had a special bond; everyone saw it. From all the "Fawks" you used to post on my Friday night posts for work; to the caring and thoughtful posts you'd make after a long distance call because you were missing home (I'll certainly miss those calls). We'd been friends since Jr High; you were always the life of the party even back then. When I moved home from Toronto in 98; you gave me my first job at The Harbourview Saloon. Soo many special moments were created since then; I remember when you first got your boat; we went on your 1st Floatilla together and this past summer you said you wanted us to go on your last Floatilla together and you wanted us to dance on the roof of your boat and that's exactly what we did with Fireball in one hand a drink in the other. George I'm soo grateful to have been able to create soo many special memories with you over the years; I will cherish them forever. I'm loving the signs; keep them coming. You will be Forever Loved & Missed; R.I.P my Amazing Friend xoxo

Sending so much love to George's entire family at this difficult time. My heart is broken. I have loved George since I was 14 years old and in those 40 years we always stayed friends. When he first was diagnosed we got to spend some time together, memories I will cherish forever and in true George fashion his main concern was if I would be okay. He always went above and beyond to make sure of that. He made me promise I would not cry when I got to the Air BNB to see him because he knows me so well but I held it together and we had so many laughs. He introduced me to Fire Ball, "What does that taste like? MORE!!!!" I am thankful for every moment I had with him and all the love he gave me. I miss those late night calls, Hey Baby Girl, why are you up? I miss him so much and the love we had will always live on in my heart. He was the kindest most generous man with such a huge love of life and family and friends. I love you Georgie and will miss you forever, thanks for all the signs, you listened, xo Forever your BFF.

I met George in Burnaby, Canada in 2019 at work and he was a kind man, and always had the best interest for his team. Although, I didn't know George well he left a great impression on me and I'll say a pray for him and his family. Lastly, I know he's smiling down from heaven and saying to me, "Carlos your a stand up guy and a real professional keep going my friend!"

There are no words to express the loss I feel, you were a firecracker and so full of life. You were a great friend to myself and so many others and the best son to Mama Bear. You were always the first one to help someone in need no matter how or where. I miss our late night conversations George and I wish you would have called me on that fateful night. I will always love and cherish our friendship and I hope you will always know how much you were loved by so many. Until we meet again my friend! Rest Easy XO

George was a great guy. He was like that when he was ten, and he was still like that when I reconnected with him in his mid-50s. George always put others first and was the kind of person who would give you the coat off his back in a winter storm. I will miss him dearly and hope he rests in peace.

George meant so much to so many. He was like an older brother to my partner. I was lucky to know him for about an hour last year when he came to Toronto for a trip including his beloved Blue Jays. I felt I had known him for years. My sympathy and hugs to his family.
