My deepest sympathy to the White family with the loss of Rick. As a new teacher, I was very fortunate to work with Rick during his time spent at Harbour View High. Rick was a wealth of knowledge, a patient mentor and a positive spirit with a great sense of humour. He was committed to his students and the teaching profession. He made a difference in the Iives of many. A life well lived! May he rest in peace.

Pam, Jennifer, Brian and family,
I really dont know where to begin. Rick has been a large part of our family for many years. The endless crib games between John and Rick cannot be counted. Coffee tuesday's, trips to New Hampshire, Golf rounds while in the USA are plentiful. The amount of love and respect I have for Rick really cannot be expressed in this short paragraph. I will miss the banter, the great conversations and the advice provided over the years. My deepest condolences to the entire family. I will miss him forever.

It is not good when some one you know passes away. Rick and I Taught together, he was my principal at one time, we even went
on golfing trips at the end of the school year, and I can not remember the number of volleyball games and tournaments we were
up and down officials together. It was a lot!!! Pam, Sharon and I still have the fire place we bought and how surprized
we were to find out it was you and Rick selling it. But what I will be sad to remember is that now a kind gentle man I called
friend, has passed. Pam, Brian and Jennifer the world is a little darker now with Ricks passing. But he is in Gods keeping now.
God bless you and your family and grant you peace and understanding through this trying time.

Pam, Jennifer, Brian and families,
I am very sorry to learn of Rick's passing. I always enjoyed chatting with Rick when you folks would be visiting Bob and Ruby.
Rick was well versed on many subjects but never made me feel as if what I was saying didn't matter or had no relevance to what we were discussing. I will always remember him as a gentle, humble man. Cherish the special family memories you have, thanks to Rick's presence in your lives, and use them to help you through the days and years ahead.

It was always a pleasure to referee volleyball with Rick. Such a kind man and always a good story or two often about his cherished grandchildren in his later years. I also had Rick as a principal the one year I taught at Prince Charles. He was always the most encouraging and supportive principal during those challenging times as a teacher. He will certainly be remembered fondly and missed by many. Sending many thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

To the White family, I extend my sincere condolences on the loss of Rick. “Mr. White” was my gym teacher at Lorne Jr. High. He used to call my friend and I “Salt and Pepper” because of our hair colour and the fact we were always together. He was always joking and encouraging us to try new things in the world of sports. Rick and I reconnected when I became a teacher and he was in administration. He was the same guy; always teasing and always encouraging. He was a true gentleman and great friend to many people. If the world had more people like Rick White in it, the world would be a better place. Rest In perfect peace.

Dear Pam, Jennifer, Brian and family,
I am so sad to hear about Rick passing. He was one of my favourite teachers I have ever worked with and I was so blessed to have him as my mentor as my first year at Prince Charles as VP when he was principal in 1998. He was so kind and patient. His staffs loved him as did his students. He was so proud of Jennifer and Brian and talked about them often. Pam, you have lost a soul mate but heaven has gained someone very special. May he rest in peace.

The Volleyball Community would like to pass along our deepest condolences to Pam and the entire White Family. Rick’s contributions to our sport and the Officials community here in NB extended far beyond the walls of a gymnasium. His personal skills were extraordinary, always lending support in a manner that showed his kindness and mentorship of those he officiated with, both young and old. I was fortunate to be on the receiving end of those conversations through his support of my career. He certainly left his mark on our game but more importantly Rick showed all of us that what really matters in life was family first and to be a good person. Rick, you were certainly a leader by example in our community and we thank you.
RIP my/our friend.

I am so shocked and sad to read this. I was a student of Rick’s at Simonds Junior in the early 90’s. He was one of my favourite teachers and part of the reason I went into teaching myself. He was always there when I needed help, even after I left junior high! I also remember him being highly offended when I only signed up for Level 2 Math in high school and claimed I couldn’t leave until I switched my registration, even calling my mom to tell her how well I would do. I switched and never regretted listening to him. He will be greatly missed by all of us who had the honour to sit in his classroom. I will be keeping your family in my prayers. ❤️
