Obituary of Nancy Lee Williams
On August 3, 2024, the Lord called home another Angel. Surrounded by her family, our dear mother, Nancy Lee Williams (Belding), was the chosen one. Although we are heartbroken for our loss, we are rejoiced for her as she is finally at peace, surrounded by God’s love and is once again re-united with the love of her life, our dad, Samuel Hayward Willliams.
Mom was born and raised in Chance Harbour, the 2nd born daughter to Clyde and Dorothy Belding (Ganong). She loved Chance Harbour and never strayed far from home for very long. She began her life there, got married, raised her children, played with her grandchildren and great grandson. Her home on earth.
Mom was an amazing diverse woman. She was both modern and old fashioned. She worked outside her home during the day, and inside her home during the evening. She made sure we ate our meals together at the kitchen table and in doing this instilled in us the importance of family and being there for each other.
Mom is survived by her children, daughter Samantha and spouse Jimmy, son Kerri and spouse Lori, son Kevin, her grandchildren Sarah and Tyler and even a great grandson, Jamie. Mom leaves behind her siblings to remember her, namely, Donna McGowan, sister-in-law Elaine Belding, sister Lynn Lambert, brother Ricky Belding, sister Marsha Leblanc, brother-in-law James Leblanc, brother-in-law Philip Melanson, sister-in-law Ann Little, brother Andrew Belding and sister-in-law Jackie, and their children.
Mom was predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 34 years, Sammy, her beloved grand daughter, Shelby, her parents Clyde and Dorothy, siblings, brothers Terry, Jack and Kevin, sister Ardith and her special great niece Jada.
We wish to thank the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home, especially Melaina Anderson and her staff on Terrace Court for their care and attention to our mom. We also want to thank the staff of Bobby’s Hospice for their vigilant and dignified attention for our mom on her last days.
