Obituary of Shirley Ann Florence Fifield
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley (Scott) Fifield announces her passing which occurred from Kennebec Manor on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Born in Saint John, NB on May 30, 1937, she was the youngest daughter of the late George and Rosina (Carter) Scott. Shirley was married 59 years to the late George Fifield.
Shirley, a lifelong resident of Saint John and a devoted member of Lancaster Baptist Church, loved being part of her church family and was actively involved in women’s groups, always ready to lend a helping hand. She worked at Fairweather Insurance - Sun Alliance from 1975 to 1989, she enjoyed baking and could be found pickling in season.
Shirley is survived by her son, Paul; grandchildren, Megan, Madison, Emma; nieces, Heather and Barbara; nephews, John and Bert Scott (Jennifer). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother,, Donald Scott; as well as her sister-in-law, Beatrice Scott.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Lancaster Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
