Obituary of Marjorie Carol Hudson
It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Carol Hudson announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on July 7, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Ruben and Helen (Clark) Dorbyson.
Marjorie was an active and loyal member of RiverCross Baptist Church and before that, Main Street Baptist Church. Marjorie enjoyed Saturdays at Legion Branch 69 singing with Donnie and Delbert and dancing with her friends. She adored every moment with her family, especially her grandchildren, Rayne and Zander.
Marjorie leaves behind her two daughters, Heidi Tian and Tanya Hudson; sisters, Anne Knee, Alice Roy; grandchildren, Rayne, Zander; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, John Hudson; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit (3BN) at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from the hours of 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Following visitation, a Funeral Service will be held from the Brenan’s Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to Diabetes Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
