Obituary of Wayne Joseph Campbell
It is with broken hearts that the family of Wayne Joseph Campbell announce his untimely passing, which occurred on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 18, 1967 in Ships Cove, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Duncan and Mary (Jesso) Campbell.
Wayne worked as a 2nd Pressman for many years and prior to that he spent seven years in the Airforce. He had a strong work ethic and was one to never complain. His kindness was second to none, as he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. Wayne was an avid walker and took great comfort in surrounding himself with the beauty of nature. He enjoyed watching movies and most of all, this loyal family man always treasured the times spent with his precious loved ones. He will be greatly missed.
Wayne was the loving and devoted husband of Loni (Saulnier) Campbell; the wonderful and adoring father of Duncan (John) and Jordan and the amazing and caring brother of Ivy Dorey (Rodney), Danna Campbell, Myra Young (Jeff), Len (Imedla) and Melvin; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Earl and Richard.
In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
