Celebration of Life Viewing
Celebraton of Life Viewing
Obituary of Michael Alexander Morrell
It is with the deepest and most heartbreaking sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved Michael. Unexpectantly and tragically, he was taken from us on January 15, 2025, at the age of 50, too soon in his life. His beautiful smile, the twinkle in his eye, his huge heart and his sweet disposition will all be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
He was always a giver and loved to collect treasures to give to family, friends and coworkers. He loved putting a smile on their faces. He loved spending time with his family, including sleepovers with Mom and Tony, trips to P.E.I to visit Dad and Catherine, dinner and road trips with his sister and sharing his love for sports with his brother. He had an infectious laugh and sense of humour which was bigger than him. His hugs were the best, and he loved to give them! His love for his family was unconditional and unwavering.
He is survived by his loving Mother Iva and Stepfather Tony; his loving Father Keith and Stepmother Catherine; his loving Sister Trish (John), his nephew Aiden and niece Chase; his loving Brother David; Sister-in-Law Lynn; nieces Hayley and Ashley in Fort McMurry and 2 step-nieces and 1 step-nephew in Ontario; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins across the country.
Thank you so much to Sargeant Jarod Parsons, Coroner Ryan Scoville, and all the first responders for your empathy, diligence and hard work; and to Michelle the nurse on duty, and all the staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital for your efforts, compassion, and professionalism.
Celebration of Life Viewings will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joshua Group for the kids.
