Obituary of Robert Erving
Robert V. Erving, CFP, CIM, FCSI
December 29, 1958 - May 6, 2020
Surrounded by his immediate family, Bob passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Debbie, his son Andrew (Victoria) and daughter Nicole (Sam), as well as his mother Patricia, his brother Bill (Helen), and sisters Patti (Faye) and Betsy (Howard). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and other family members. Bob was pre deceased by his father Malcolm.
Bob spent over 30 years working in the financial services sector. Most notably, he spent the last 20 of his most rewarding years with MD Financial Services, prior to his retirement in June of 2018.
Throughout his short retirement, Bob loved staying active by playing golf, swimming at the YMCA, or his new found love of playing pickle-ball.
Born in Pittsfield, MA, Bob was also an avid Boston sports fan. He could often be found in the den comically shouting at the television over the play of his New England Patriots, Bruins or Red Sox, providing an animated play-by-play, or offering his players a much needed pep-talk.
The family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding compassion and care that Bob received throughout his illness. Most notably, the health care professionals of the Saint John Regional Hospital, and the extramural staff of the Kennebecasis Valley, who provided exceptional care and support.
Gone are the days we used to share,
But in our hearts you're always there,
Never more than a thought away,
Loved and remembered every day.
