Lynn, Lorna, Leo, Sharon, and families, please accept my sincere sympathies for your loss. I will always remember Burnis as a spark of light - warm and and witty and fun to be with. She was a great friend to my mum as well, and I have many fond memories of her dropping in for coffee with Mum. I hope that your happy memories of her will always be a comfort for you, and that you will always smile when you think of her. Warm hugs,
Todd Arsenault

Sharon,Lynn, Lorna and Leo accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mother.
I truly believe that she was a gift from God that came into my life again, exactly at a time I needed her most. She remolded me by her positive influence, humor, kindness and wit. She reminded me of silliness and fun, I knew I was in for something when she got the twinkle in her eyes. The bible says that "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted". God will bless us all and give us strength to carry on without Burnis..aka Nana.
I will be forever grateful for having the privilege of knowing a wonderful Lady, and proud to call Burnis my friend. Thank you for letting me share in your Family.
In friendship and Sorrow,
Jeannine & Gary McCullum

To all the family of Burnis,
Over the years I became close to your Mom/grandmother through my Mom, Molly, of course and Inez. We attended many an event, shopping day and lunches out especially in recent years. Burnis was an absolute joy to be with and was just a sweetie. Being classmates from a very special nursing class, St Joseph’s Class of 1957, she and the rest of the ‘girls’ remained very close over the years. I’ve known Burnis from childhood but really got to know her and her wonderful sense of humour from the day Mom hosted a class anniversary party at our home. Your mom entertained the whole crowd. It was a blast. I’ll never forget it! My Mom, Molly, my aunt Shirley and Inez and all the other classmates and fellow nurses, including my aunt Joan and all who knew her will miss Burnis.
So sorry for your loss.
Sending our deepest condolences,
Ann, Molly & family

Lynn, Lorna, Leo & Sharon,
I have so many fond memories growing up with the Darrah family. My sister and I spent many days playing in the basement, back yard, or trips to the beach, cramming all of us into your parents car! Burins always welcomed us into her home. I am grateful I have the opportunity to see Burnis over the years at nursing dinners and church. She was a remarkable lady.
The Levenshulme family send our heart felt condolences to your family.
