Dear Baxter Family,
We were so very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was such a gentleman and a dear family friend. We have so many tremendous memories of Joe over the years in New River Beach, too many to count! He was always so fun to be around. I remember weekend visits on Friendly Corner, whether in the gazebo, on the deck, at the beach, or gathered around a bonfire. Truly heat-warming memories to recall. We've been keeping you all in our thoughts over the past few weeks—what loss your family has been through in such a short amount of time.
Much love,
Kathryn Asher, Adam Gilmore, Miles & Reid

Lorne and I are so sorry to learn of Joe's passing. Losing a parent is such a deep sorrow and so difficult to say goodbye.
Joe and Nancy will be so missed for many of us New River Beach regulars. Their friendly, welcoming greetins and smiles will be remembered by all. Such good, happy sports to be around! Rain of Shine! Cheers Joe!

To all the Baxter family, Jim and I were so terribly sad to learn of the passing of Joe. As mentioned in his obituary, he was indeed a true gentleman and always so personable and helpful to his New River Beach friends and acquaintances. He and Nancy were great hosts. We will always remember happy moments spent in their cottage. Jim and I already miss chatting with both him and Nancy sitting on the sand in their usual spot! This is a great loss for all of Joe's family but also for those of us who knew and loved him both at New River Beach and in Rothesay. We send our most heartfelt condolences to the entire Baxter family on their loss.

Joanne, Jill and Jeff,
I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Your parents were childhood friends of my parents, Ron and Lois Smith. I last saw Nancy and Joe at my parents 60th Anniversary when my parents renewed their vows. It was very special that they attended as they both stood for my parents at their wedding. Hoping they are sharing laughter, fun times and great adventures in heaven. Thinking of your family at this difficult time.

Joanne , Jill Jeff and families, I was so sorry to read that your father, Joe had passed. He must have missed your mother in these last few months so you will have the comfort of knowing they are together again. Nancy and Joe were such a happy, joyous couple and their outgoing nature made them a treat to be around. They were so family oriented and I have many happy memories of being at some of the events at their cottage at New River. Joe always entertaining with his jokes and Nancy, although she had probably heard the story laughing along with the rest.
Thinking of all of you. Keep your memories alive.

We were neighbors with Joe and Nancy for thirty five years and are so sorry to learn of Joe's passing. Joe presented himself so well and had that wonderful smile always. As neighbors, both Joe and Nancy were terrific, and we enjoyed keeping an eye on each others homes whenever the opportunity presented.
Our condolences go to their entire Family.
