I just learned of Liz’s passing this evening. Liz was HUGE for me when I started teaching Music over 30 years ago. We shared the music teaching at an inner city school, and she became an unofficial mentor and support to me. Patience was the one of the attributes that she displayed, and I’d say that I required lots of it. Liz will be greatly missed.

BETH : Sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was always so friendly to us at SJ 1. My nephew Tyler Williams was in her music class in Forest Hills. She took a liking to him and would always talk to him. My Mom and Dad would pick him up at school and Liz would talk to them as well. I think your Mom retired the same year as Tyler graduated from Forest Hills. He is now going into 2nd.year University at UNB. We have fond memories of Liz. Our thoughts are with you and your sisters. Words cannot express the sadness and sense of loss with Liz’s passing. She was a wonderful friend. I have so many memories of Liz playing the organ while I played piano. We always seemed to be able to follow each other without thinking. Liz was also instrumental in the early years of my daughter Olivia’s spiritual development. She helped to instill in her young life a love for serving Jesus, and Beth you helped in this as well. Thank You. Our family has been blessed to have Liz as a prayer partner with us as we have ministered in the years since we moved from SJ1. Please know Vince and I will be praying for you tomorrow and in the coming days. Our great loss is heavens gain.
Love and prayers,
Karen

Elizabeth has been a dear friend/sister who maintained a contact with me that started with her aunt & uncle and then her mother. Fellow teacher, lover of music and talented musician, strong supporter of veterans, kind to the elderly including my parents, a woman of strong faith in her Saviour and Lord, and a deep connection to Beulah Camp ... these are all things I admired and treasured which created our bond. She will always be missed but her heavenly home will be a place of joyful reunion. Till we meet again! In the meantime, we will carry on and I send my sincere sympathy to Ann, Beth and Rachel.

Dorothy and I were saddened to hear the news of Liz's passing. Liz was a bridesmaid and sang at our wedding more than twenty-five years ago.
Liz and I met about thirty years ago while we taught at Prince Charles School. I was a Math Department Head and she was our music teacher. She was a great help to me as she edited my university assignments in the courses I took. During that process, I noted she had a great sense of humor. I saw also the other side of her through her teaching skills. She had a genuine loving care for her students, including me. Liz was always giving of herself. Her family was very important to her as she often spoke of her girls.
Our time at Prince Charles ended when I accepted a Vice-Principalship at Forest Hills Elementary. Liz soon accepted a more permanent position as a travelling music teacher. It wasn't long that a fulltime position for a music teacher opened at Forest Hills. Realizing Liz to be the perfect fit for that position, I recommended her. The rest is history. After a successful career and with health issues, Liz took an early retirement. Liz touched many lives, among students and colleagues before starting a new path in her life.
Thank you, Liz, for being such a positive influence in our lives.
May the peace of God be with you.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Liz Brewer a dear friend of Debbie Bruhier Hansen and myself.
To Ann, Beth and Rachel: Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time as you grieve and celebrate the life of your beautiful and talented Mother.
Twelve years ago in 2010 when living in Southern California I added my cousin Erik Kraglund on Facebook. When I added him I saw that Liz was a friend of my cousin who I had known in church back in 1998. Unaware that she had been in their wedding party.
When Liz accepted me, there was a fine young lady Debbie Bruhier on her FB friends. I had also met her in church at SJ1 in 1998. I wondered how she was doing and what had become of her life since last seeing her in 1998?
I reached out and reconnected. Six years later started a relationship that led to our marriage in 2019 where Liz was the organist. ( Attached photo )
I truly will miss the phone conversations, coffee time and friendship of this beautiful lady.
Between God and Liz our Debbie's and my life have been truly blessed.
May you now RIP Liz, we will miss you.

Ann, Beth and Rachel. Heartfelt condolences. You have the treasured memories of a great mother. Our friendship grew over the last two or three decades, from SJ1, to her incredible support of my cousin Faye, to recognizing how great her impact in the school system for good and for God. She was the magic Sunday School teacher to our wide-eyed 5 year old. Her sense of humour was incredible. With all that she had lived, she found a way to make others laugh. My favourite all-time joke was the Mrs Santa routine for Faye on Christmas morning in SJRH. Second best was trying to convince me that I could not be ordained ad a minister unless "I memorized the words to Beulah Land". We planned to have her visit her birthplace where we now live: Cape Sable Island. She now lives year-round at Beulah Land.

Dear Brewer family, I was shocked and so very saddened with the news of Liz’s passing. I worked with her at Forest Hills before I moved to Moncton in 2007. My love for incorporating music in my classroom was because of her. Whatever theme I was using, she’d give me musical suggestions. My best memory is when I told her that I vaguely remembered a song from my childhood about New Brunswick and she recorded the music for it on her piano. I used that song whenever I taught social studies over the years, so hundreds of children learned the “Land of New Brunswick” song…thanks to Liz’s help so many years ago. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of our saviour.
