Obituary of Stewart Leslie Francis Crowley
Stewart passed away peacefully, with his brothers by his side, on Sunday, August 28th, 2022, at the age of 77. Beloved son of the late Charles and Josephine Crowley (nee Christie).
Loved by all who knew him, Stewart was dedicated in his faith, offering his time as an altar server for more than 30 years at Holy Redeemer Parish (St. Pius X).
Although faced with challenges from birth, Stewart enjoyed life to the fullest. He relished family get-togethers and special occasions, always the centre of attention with his smile. Stewart appreciated being heard, his remarks to family and friends were a message of love.
A man of many passions, Stewart enjoyed the Special Olympics, bowling, running, chatting with Danny Joyce at the garage, trips to Dairy Queen, camping at the Three Bears Campground, music, dancing, bonfires, and barbeques. His time as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6581 was especially meaningful to him.
Stewart is survived by his brothers Michael (Bernadette) Crowley, and Ian (Ann) Crowley, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Stewart was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Paul Crowley.
The family wishes to thank the many staff of Rocmaura - Terrace Court and Queen Angels Special Care Home for the kindness and care shown to Stewart through the years. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Corless for his years of diligent care.
Friends and family will be received at Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, from 4 to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Parish, 316 Somerset Street, on Thursday morning at 11am. Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
