Condolences to Ruth’s family. I worked with Ruth in the 60’s at the bank of Montreal. I ended up marrying a Galbraith and becoming her sister in law in 1970. Sadly, When I moved to the west coast that same year, we slowly lost touch. I’ve always remembered her as a beautiful kind person. She was so good to everyone.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the your loss. I have such fond memories of Ruth and we were blessed to have been able to spend time with her and Uncle Ted. She loved to share pictures of her granddaughters Meaghan and Emma for sure and her holiday cruise pictures as well. We had often spoke about doing a girls cruise one of these days. Ruth and Ted’s visits back to Petawawa were always good for stories and laughs. They touched our hearts deeply when they came to visit our mom shortly before her passing in Nov. 2019.

I’m so sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. I was lucky to spend a few days with Ruth when my sisters and I went to visit Ted, our uncle, in N.B. We bonded with Ruth immediately and she became a good friend. She was like that. She was so kind, considerate, generous and joyful. I can’t believe she’s gone. She was so vivacious, with a youthful spirit. Ruth and Teddy stayed with us when they came up to Petawawa to attend military reunions. She was so proud of her granddaughters. My deepest condolences to her family.

So very sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. She was such a lovely soul and we really enjoyed the time we spent with her and Dad while on vacation in Nova Scotia many years ago. Ruth taught me to love ceramics in her little studio, a love I have carried on over the years. She and Dad even came to visit their granddaughter Kailee when she was born and stayed with my parents while here. They always talked fondly of her. Gone too soon. Our condolences to our Dad, Chris, Candace and the girls.

Such sad news to hear of Ruth’s passing. Like Kim, John and I still talk about our great horseback adventure and what a ragtag bunch we were. Crossing the border to shop and then returning with our packages all loaded in Ted’s car and the look on everyone’s faces when the four of us all piled out the car in fits of laughter.
Chris, I am truly sorry for your loss and to Candace, Meaghan and Emma. And Ted, I remember with fondness the conversations Ruth had about you and the life you built together.
Thinking of you all, John and Jane Sears

I met Ruth through business and was later blessed to become her friend and what a great friend she was! Ruth was an accomplished businesswoman, smart, energetic, always on the go and definitely an ace at time and project management. I was always in awe of how much she could accomplish between sunup and sundown. Family meant every thing to Ruth. She had the most kind and generous heart and such a beautiful soul. It is heartbreaking to know she is gone. Sincerest condolences to Ted, Chris, Candace, Meagan and Emma and extended family.

Ruth was and still is a very special person in our lives and thoughts. She was special part of Teds kids and a very special bond was there, no matter what she brought to the table. Very upbeat, friendly, sincere and NEVER put up with BS. Her family and extended family meant the world as she did to us.
Rest In Peace Ruth(mom).

I have known Ruth since I was old enough to know anyone. We grew up together, as did all the Chesley Street girls. There are nine of us who for sometime had dinners together monthly, they were happy, funny times with all the discussions being of our days as children and how happy we were to still be in touch and share our lives with each other. Ruth was very successful in life in everything she touched. Chris and family my heart is broken knowing I won't see her again, and, without a doubt you all certainly made her heart sing. I am so happy I got to have my visit with her......Rest softly in piece Ruth, you certainly have earned it.
