Our Deepest Condolences Brian & Shayne & families. I’ll always remember growing up in Seal Cove around your place. Your mom pierced my ears. I was so excited and was one of the first ones with pierced ears. I’ll never forget the ice cube and needle Rest Easy Norma

Brian, Shayne, and families.
Your mom's passing is truly saddening. She was a great person that loved all and was loved by all. She balanced being a wife with being a mother and still had time to garden, build camps, woodwork, and bake the very best oatmeal cookies. She was one of the truly great people from Seal Cove and will be greatly missed by all.

Dear Friends,
My thoughts are with you and your families as you learn to accept the loss of your mother & grand mother. I was so sorry to hear that Norma had died. My mother often tells me that it was Norma who welcomed me into the world; she was with my mother during delivery. Although I haven't seen her in many years, she is one of the faces of my childhood - as Laurence and I played with Shayne and Brian, having many adventures together (designed by our Moms). I am thankful for the many blessings she brought to us all.
Hugs, Melinda

Sending my deepest sympathy on Aunt Norma’s passing. I have not seen her in many years but have very fond memories of when I was young and of family gatherings. I admire her determination to stay so active and be in her own home. I hope your memories bring a smile to your faces.

Brian, Shayne, and your families,
Our deepest condolences to you at this difficult time. Aunt Norma holds a special place in our hearts, and we have fond memories of our family reunions. I especially loved to see the siblings together along with grandma and grandpa. When my husband and I were dating, we travelled to Grand Manan for the first time and had a wonderful visit with Norma and Gale. Our hearts are broken but our memories are strong. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Please accept our sincere sympathies with the loss of your dear mother and grandmother. You have very much been in our prayers this week. We know just how special she was to each of you.
I have fond and appreciative memories of Norma going back 70 or more years when she gave our family such kind, gentle and generous care. My father died suddenly in 1950 and Norma lived with us for several years helping my dear mother, Margaret, care for four children. She was like a mature older sister who had many positive impacts on my life. She was a no-nonsense person but underneath very caring and loving. Her natural talents in so many practical areas were shared in a way I feel to this day.
My mother thought the world of Norma. Your tribute in the obituary brought tears to my eyes because the loving and appreciative feelings were mutual.
After 91 years and such a peaceful passing Norma would not want us to mourn too long but the positive memories and feelings of loss of someone special will remain for long time.
Sincerely Harold and Helen Cook - South Ohio, NS

Brian, Shane and families: So very saddened to hear Norma has passed. Our 'road' is not the same. So many memories of her... all good! She gave me her nurse uniforms to wear while I was waitressing at Mananook [hard to believe we were ever the same size!]. Her medical knowledge was frequently called upon by the entire Anderson clan and the Simms babes benefitted from it as well. She, and Ma, would get into a glee when discussing their Frenchies adventure tours - they were wild women.
Norma was loved and respected by all of us. Her friendship and loyalty meant the world to Ma. She will be missed.
