Obituary of Bob Apperley
The death of Robert “Bob” Allan Apperley of 159 Loch Lomond Road occurred on January 12, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Windsor England, he was the son of the late Fredrick and Minnie (Beasley) Apperley.
Bob served in the British armed forces in North-West Europe as a member of the 1ST battalion of the Rifle Brigade. After discharge from the army, he immigrated to Canada, settling in New Brunswick. He was a pipefitter by trade and a member of the Local 213 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in which he served in various elected positions for many years.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Winnifred (Snodgrass) Apperley.
Bob is survived by his sister Ms. Audrey Fullman of Windsor, England; brother Raymond Apperley of Windsor, England; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). The visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Monday, January 16, at 11 AM with interment to follow at Cedar Hill Extension.
