Obituary of James Earnest Paisley
It is with great sadness that the family of James E. Paisley announces his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 3, 2023. Born in Browns Flat, NB, on June 29, 1937, he was a son of the late Herbert and Irene (Shields) Paisley.
James was a longtime, dedicated member of Browns Flat Baptist Church. Even as a disabled person, he started as a deckhand on the Westfield Ferry to retire 13 years later as an operator. James was a family man and worshipped his Lord and Saviour loud and proud. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed watching Nascar.
James leaves behind his daughter, Amanda; brother, George (Barb); sister, Lorraine (Bob); sister-in-law, Dot; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Vivian; brothers, Herbert “Junior”, Edson and Darrel; as well as his sister, Noreen.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM in the Brenan’s Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. A private family interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
