Obituary of Linda Thomson
It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Thomson announces her passing on April 15, 2023, at the Kennebec Manor in Saint John, N.B. Born in Paisley, Scotland on April 10, 1952, Linda was the daughter of Herbert and Janet (MacDonald) Woodcock.
After arriving in Canada, Linda spent many years working as an EMT and then retired from Ridgewood Addiction Services. Linda enjoyed coffee dates with her friends, sitting outside working on her tan, and ordering countless chicken curries from her favourite restaurant. Quick witted, Linda was authentic, genuine and had a lot of love for her fur babies.
She loved spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren grow. Linda(Gran) will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her daughter Heather Thomson of Saint John NB, sons Colin Thomson (Angela) of Naperville, IL and Douglas Thomson(Amanda) of Saint John NB. She will be remembered by her brother Raymond Woodcock of Port Glasgow, Scotland, her family in Scotland and her 4 beloved grandchildren; Benjamin, Zachary, Clare and Cate.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother Ernest Woodcock.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Kennebec Manor who provided compassionate care for Linda.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Paradise Row Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row Saint John (634-7224) In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A graveside service will take place in Scotland at a later date.
