Our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear father, father-in-law, grandfather. His decline and passing was rather sudden and unexpected, so I understand it must be difficult to come to terms with it. You can take solace in that he did not have to suffer long.
We really enjoyed his visits with us, and are sorry we won't be able to welcome him again to our home to share a simple meal of roti and dal. We remember his stories of his youth and early years in Canada, his eagerness to discuss math, his fondness for the music and movies of his youth. In spite of his frailties in the last couple of years, he could usually be persuaded to join you in visiting us,and we feel privileged by it.
May his soul rest in peace.
