I am so sorry to learn of Peter’s recent passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Debby, daughters Cynthia and Cheri during this time of loss and sorrow. Peter and I have remained friends for over six decades. As young teenagers Peter and I along with 5 other close friends from the North End decide to join the military. We all headed to the recruiting office one summer day in 1967, of the 7 possible recruits Pete and I were the 2 that enlisted and began our journey into the world of the RCAF. Peter was only 17 years old at the time and required written permission from his mom and dad before he could be allowed to enlist. Once we had signed on the dotted line it was off to Halifax for indoctrination, which next took us to St. Jean Quebec for boot camp, this came at a great time for us because along with our initial training we had the opportunity to experience the wonders of Expo 67 which was held in Montreal. We were also joined by 2 more of our old companions Jack Smith and Jimmy Carlin, who had enlisted shortly after us. After boot camp it was off to trades training at Camp Borden in Ontario. It was during this phase the Peter decide that the military was not a vocation for him so he took I voluntary released and returned home to Saint John. Although are lives took different paths Pete and I always remained buddies. He was a true friend who I will also cherish and truly miss.

Debbie and Girls: I am sorry to ready of Peter's passing. You were such great neighbours on Westfield Road and we would wait for Peter and the dog to come over every night we were sitting outside. He loved you all so much. Know that he is now healthy in mind and body and will a guardian angel watching over you. Sending my deepest sympathy to all of you. Pat, Karyn and Michael.

I've know Pete since the first day he moved into wigmore court. I lived on the good side of wigmore. We all hung out together as teenagers and did those terrible things teens do - we smoked and drank terrible tasting wine. We all hung out me alfie peter jimmy bovaird jimmy carlin berny mccarthy - we were the gang and what fun we all had. We were terrible shooting pool but pretty good at getting girls .Peter and Bernie were quite close friends. We all miss him. I will pray for Peter every day now and im sure God has a spot for him in heaven. Rest in peace my old friend . Terry Parker 45 wigmore court

The good side of Wigmore Ct was the EVEN side! Lol That is the side Peter and my Family lived on. I am the youngest of the "Earles". So very sorry for your loss Deb :(
