I had the pleasure of knowing Judy. She had the most beautiful head of hair. She was funny, and kind. I watched when Judy started to leave us bit by bit. I’m so sorry the family had to go through that.

Although I have not lived in Saint John for many years, I try to share my memories of those who were kind to me. Judy was a very kind person and a talented seamstress who was a great help to me. Our sons, both named Gregory, went to Teed together.(As a former teacher, I would remember that and I also taught at Teed for 16 years)Sadly, we really didn't keep in touch, but I shall always remember her and her kindness. My heartfelt wishes go to Greg, Brian and extended families. I shall inform my son of her passing.
Sincerely
Jillian Patriquen

I am so sorry for your loss. As a kid in the neighbourhood we got to enjoy Judy’s wonderful cooking. Her chocolate chip cookies and cup cakes were the best! I can remember her beautiful vegetable garden we would play in and steal a carrot or 2. Sending lots of prayers to your family thinking of you all.

Dear Brian and Family,
We didn't have the privilege of meeting your precious Judy (as she'd already stopped attending church before we began), but I sure wish it would've been so.
What a wonderful, loving, and committed husband and family you have been to her. What a wonderful, straight-forward, and kind soul she sounded.
May God comfort you in deep sorrow. May he give you peace. May you look to Christ, always in hope.
Sincerely & lovingly,
Lorna and Gary Perkins

Judy and I walked these dogs many afternoons at Rockwood Park. . My condolances to you Brian and your family . Judy is in a far better place and so happy to be free up there . We hope that dogs do go to heaven as she loved them so .. but I imagine there are better things than dogs where she now sings well with the angels

Reid and I have been friends with Brian and Judy for over 40 years, time flies. We have many fond memories of our children’s joint escapades growing up across the street from each other. We shared many meals, card games, vacations, events including memorable week-ends at the cottage. Judy had a hearty laugh as shown in the photo posted on this site and she will be remembered as a fun loving, generous, loyal friend. It is a comfort to know that she is now at peace. Our sincere condolences to Brian, Gregory, Lauren and the family.

Brian, Charlene and I send our condolences. The remembrance you so affectionately wrote beautifully describes Jack and Winnie's daughter Judy who was our across the street neighbor on Hill Heights Road/ Crown Hill Crescent for many years. Her last years so well described by you and some of the tributes to her to you and to the Turnbull Home staff demonstrate the strength of your relationship ,love and Judy's inimitable candour.

Please accept my heart felt condolences Lauren, Greg & Brian.
I truly hope that reading all these memories gives each one of you some comfort.
I spent most of my teen years hanging out at the house. ( if I can just echo the comments about her wonderful cooking)
I remember her catering a few events were I was asked to serve along side my best friend Lauren. She had wanted me to wear heels...(a first for me) but I just couldn't get the coordination. I'll never forget her response, " just go barefoot!"
And the Beautiful dresses we wore. (I believe she made)
After school snacks were always a highlight to my visits. Altho I got in trouble (a time...or two ...who's counting) for drinking too many cans of coke.
Judy's love for cross-stitch sparked my interest to learn. And I still have a few pieces I've completed. Although I've never mastered the skill to keep the backside neat. I'll never forget the look on her face when she saw the backside of my finished project....it looked horrible!!!.. (with numerous knots the size of marbles). I told her, "well nobody's going to see the back in a frame."
Her response was, "you might want to invest in a shadow box!" ...(Implying it might not fit in a regular frame)
We had a good laugh over it.
When I discovered I was pregnant at 16, I lefted the regional hospital and headed for the Foster's house.
I was soo scared Lauren wouldn't be allowed to hang around with me anymore. Instead (after her birth)..Sleepovers just began to include my daughter Chantel.
I remember the big armchairs we would sit in having conversations & I told her how I'd love to have some of my own someday.
When I moved into my first apartment, judy gifted me a beautiful green armchair similar in style to the ones I had come to admire. Although I had very little starting out...that chair meant the world to me.
Not sure if it was Judy or Brian who originally nicknamed me "ditz" ...(cause they equally used it just as often) but from the start I knew it was never meant to be mean or malicious...but rather accepting me into the fold...
(despite my quirky ways.)
I could go on & on with true heartfelt memories. Lauren, Greg & Brian, know that I love each one of you and pray for you all during this difficult time.
Amy LeBlanc (aka Ditz )

Deepest condolences to you all, Judy had such a pivotal impact in my childhood and my early adult years. She was one of the best cooks/bakers and I would always get in trouble for stealing her chocolate chip cookies. So many wonderful fond memories that I will cherish for a life time. Our sincerest condolences to you, Brian and also to Lauren and Craig and their families on the loss of Judy, your wife, their mother and my friend of 40 years. We have had many meals back and forth at each other's houses over many years, and a lot of good times with our dinner club (Fosters, Johnson's, Battens and ourselves) and many other things, but usually, all were centered on food. Judy was a wonderful cook, and an outstanding baker (especially pies which she baked in quantity with speed and ease).
Judy's battle with Alzheimer's disease was long and sad and she fought bravely, with you, Brian, at her side. You kept her at home for as long as you possibly could (actually longer) and were so patient and loving to her during some of the very worst times. You once said to me "Judy looked after me for 40 years and now it is my turn to look after her." and you did.
Judy loved her family and her friends and her dogs, she always said she could get "Ten years and Christmas out of a good Lab" and I remember them all fondly, especially Sam.
I will always remember Judy.
