Dear Susan, Scott, Sarah, Savannah & Sierrah, I am very sorry for your loss. Uncle Arnold was a joy. It was evident that he cherished you all and that he was very proud of his girls too.
I will have a DQ with a red spoon on Monday in his honour. I am sorry Dad & I can't be there but I will be thinking of you and Uncle Arnold.

In memory of an incredible …. Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend, Genuine Good Person, one J. Arnold Ritchie.
I was fortunate to be the last of Arnold’s siblings, and thus able to spend lots of time with him as I grew from a child to an adult. From the early days of being his “Assistant Delivery Man”, to being Best Man at his wedding, to just visiting with him (the last time in the summer of 2023) after I moved from Saint John. I can honestly say that all times were more than just pleasant memories.
Arnold was the epitome of the fact that, years of formal education is not the only example of intelligence. He was not only intelligent, but hard working, honest, caring, empathetic, helpful, generous, and a very good friend to so many. He was simply, The Best!
It is with great sorrow that I accept his passing, but also the acknowledgement that due to conflicting dates, his funeral, and my upcoming surgery, my daughter and I are unable to attend. To Susan, Scott, Arnold’s granddaughters, and all who enjoyed Arnold’s life of kindness, good humour, and genuine personality, I join you in grieving our loss.

We are so sorry to hear of Arnold's passing. Prior to the pandemic, we and Arnold and Rosalie were part of a small group that ate together at the old Millidge Ave Subway every Sunday after church. They were a lovely couple, and we shared many laughs together. May they both rest in peace. Rev. David Kierstead and Susanne Sutton

So very sorry to read of Arnold's passing Susan. He and your Mom spoke of you often to my Mom who lived in Brentwood and was close with both your parents. They used to decorate the common areas of that building and organize teas together. Mom passed in 2021. Rest in Peace Arnold.

Dear Susan,
Your dad was like a fixture in St. Peter's Church for my childhood through to when I left home for university. I remember "Mr. Ritchie" as always being kind, welcoming and so friendly. I'm sure you will miss him greatly. Heaven has claimed another angel from that generation! Thinking of you during this sad time.
